Cape Verde, Sal, April 2017

Hi Guys,

Here is a pre report for our next trip to Sal, Cape Verde. We are staying in the RIU Palace, Mid April.

Here is some of the tackle we are taking. I will be trialling the deeper depth sounder; a castable fish finder. It had a range off 100m and works to a depth of 80m. Another trial will be the TrackR  tracker and also the NUT find 3 tracker. All these devices work from your mobile phone so should any gear go missing I have a chance of tracking it down. 

I will be taking beach casting gear, boat fishing gear and lure fishing tackle, and taking a leaf from your book and concentrating of early morning and night fishing. I'm planning to primarily target the bigger sharks, with conservation in mind I will only be using circle hooks that break down in salt water. Ideally,  I won't hook a shark deeply. I don't mind missing a few runs if the ones I do hook are in the scissors.
